I must admit: I have not yet mastered the selfie. Somehow I always come out cross-eyed, my thumb is in the way, or I decide that I look particularly ogre-like from that particular angle. I typically try to just be in the picture as little as possible, but I have told by my selfie MASTER of a daughter that is defeating the purpose of a selfie. To this my eloquent reply is typically, "Whatev."
My daughter has this whole selfie thing down to a science. I am always blown away by how amazing she looks!
See! She's fabulous!
My son is not quite as adept at the selfie, but at least he's better than me!
Why am I talking about selfies today? Well, it all has to do with our reading challenge for March: Get Caught Reading!
You've seen the library contest with teachers holding books. Now it's time to create a photo of your own!
Snap, print, and bring into class a picture of yourself reading a book or tweet it with the tag #raptorsread and you will be entered into a drawing for one of three fabulous prizes.
All reading selfies will be displayed in the hall for reading inspiration!
Speaking of inspiration, here are a few reading selfies. Let's get creative!
